Polygynation was created for the purpose of advocacy, exposure, education and awareness, of the potential for healthy polygynous family structures for the empowerment of the black family, and to overall say:

"Yes, polygyny is an option, and one that has its advantages."

On this site, you will learn of various approaches, methods and reasons for which families function within this relationship dynamic. Some are religiously structured while others are not, but most have structure of some sort.

But if it is on this site, there was something in the information which we felt could be of benefit for those engaging it. We do not personally endorse any individual or any family's lifestyle or approach to polygyny. PREMISE

Although you may find additional information regarding the purpose of polygyny on this site, the basic premise for our support and advocacy of the practice of polygyny is that it is inherently the Nature of Man, and in conjunction with the laws of nature anatomically and phenomenally... And that due to colonization, oppression and domestication of man (male AND female), this expression of nature has been systematically inhibited and debased. No further explanation or justification is really necessary, although we do have much more than that to offer. HOW it is practiced and carried out, within the current cultural context in which we find ourselves, and whether or not it should be among certain people, is another matter that requires further consideration, analysis and development.

Polygyny is not something to take lightly or approach unless or until all the parties involved or who are leading the way, are confident that they are ready. If not handled carefully, polygyny can destroy a marriage and an entire family and severely damage children in the process. Enacted by the unqualified has proven time and time again to be severely counter productive. Polygyny is not recommended for the irresponsible, the individual or family struggling to maintain a decent living space, families or couples constantly in conflict, those with a tendency towards violence or abuse, emotionally unstable, homeless, jobless or with no source of income or sustainability, severely mentally impaired, cheaters, those lacking restraint or self-control, dishonest, immature, subject to major addictions, incarcerated regularly, pedophiles, people with no sense of direction, purpose or vision, etc. etc. etc. Anyone participating or considering participating in polygyny should be aware of their local, state and federal laws that govern polygamy, bigamy and cohabitation family dynamics if such laws exist.
